People think Big Ben is the name of the tower. No, it’s not! Big Ben is the massive bell inside the tower which is over 13,000 kg.

The specifications

Isn’t it unbelievable that there are 312 pieces of glass in each clock dial? The same dial is 7m in its diameter.

The numbers and hands

Do you know how big the digits inside are? They are approximately 60cm long. The minute hands are around 4m long and weigh over 100 kg. Yes, everything about the tower is massive!

It’s the Elizabeth Tower today
