As the sun sets on the idyllic coastal city of Hoi An in Vietnam, the activity around a particular area begins to increase. Stalls are set up, lanterns are lit and delectable food is prepared; a visit to the Hoi An Night Market is not to be missed!

Getting There

This market can be found on Nguyen Hoang on the other side of the river from the well-known Ancient Town. Around a 10-minute drive from Anantara Hoi An Resort, the market opens at 05:00pm and goes on until 10:00pm.

What to Expect

Located on a 300-metre long street, this night market has vendors selling souvenirs, clothing, handicrafts, jewellery, toys and more. Shopping here is one of the best things to do in Hoi An and you can look to also buy bamboo products, paintings, silk and even a grain of rice with your name written on it!

Lovely Lanterns

Part of the charm of the Hoi An Night Market is its section where you will find lanterns in all sizes and colours. One of the most picturesque sections of the market, it’s a great place to not only photograph these lanterns but also buy one that you can easily fold and take back home.
