Expo Dates

The expo was initially to be held in 2020 but a global pandemic changed everything! While Expo 2020 Dubai retains its name, the rescheduled dates are from 1st October 2021 to 31st March 2022. On weekdays, it will be open from 10:00am to midnight and on weekends and special days, from 10:00am to 02:00am.

The Venue

Spanning a little over 4 sq. km, the expo site is in the Dubai South district within easy reach of properties like Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel. The Al Maktoum International Airport is close by, while those staying at well-placed 4-star hotels in Dubai can take the Dubai Metro Red Line or the free Expo Rider bus to the venue.

Part of History

The World Expo is not something new and the first one was held in London in 1851! Hosted every five years and running for six months, these expos highlight innovations and inventions that are moulding the world we live in; this year will mark the first time a World Expo is to be held in the MEASA (Middle East, Africa and South Asia) region.
