If the Seychelles is calling your name, the next big question is when to answer. This dreamy archipelago is beautiful year-round, but each part of the calendar offers its own little ‘magic’. Here’s a look at four quarters of the year, each with its own weather quirks and allures.

July to September
July can get pretty cool (don’t worry, it’s still plenty warm for the beach!) and has excellent surfing conditions. August is similar and features breezy southeast trade winds, perfect for long walks or lazy resort days on the beach at properties like Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles. September warms up a touch, ideal for sunbathing, hiking, or swimming in a turquoise ocean, like a scene from a postcard.

October to December
October is that sweet spot before the rainy season, and you can expect pleasant days with gentle winds. November may see showers, but you will still find sunshine and fewer crowds, which means more space on the sand for you. December is festive, and while it may rain at times, you can always indulge in some spa pampering at Seychelles islands luxury resorts during the showers!

January to March
January is your escape hatch from the European winter with hot tropical sunshine, broken up by refreshing afternoon showers. February is similar, with great conditions for water sports and exploring between brief rains. By March, the trade winds calm, the rain eases off, and underwater visibility peaks, making it a dream period for scuba diving and snorkelling in Seychelles.

April to June

April is one of the hottest times of the year, though there will be little rainfall. Of course, by staying beside the beach, you are never far from a refreshing ocean dip! May stays hot but is a bit less humid, with the southeast trade winds starting to roll in. By June, temperatures are comfortable, the breezes are stronger, and it’s prime time for surfing, sailing, or tackling the island’s hiking trails without breaking too much of a sweat.
