A National Hero

Quang Trung Nguyen Hue was one of the three Tay Son brothers who led peasant insurrections in the 18th century; this later became a more national movement defeating invaders from foreign lands. Opened in 1978, the museum is on the site of the home of these brothers who founded the Tay Son Rebellion.

Key Highlights

Before entering the site, you will come across a tamarind tree believed to have been planted by the brothers and an ancient well. Within the museum, one can learn more about Quang Trung and observe all manner of exhibits dating back to the 18th century; these include costumes, battle drums made with elephant skins, official seals, documents and more.

Traditional Performances
