Religions followed by the locals

In Mauritius, the most popular religion is Hinduism. But Christianity and Islam are also present in this country, while a very minority of the population believe in the Buddhist philosophy.

Its music

The national music of Mauritius is called ‘Sega’ and you don’t find this kind of music anywhere else in the world. So unique to this tropical island, you may also hear this music at various functions held at Mauritius resorts as well.

Closer to properties the likes of Anantara Iko Mauritius Resorts & Villas, there are many cultural and heritage sites such as Le Morne Brabant which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Mahebourg which is an area full of churches, mosques, and Hindu temples.
