Banana Island

This private island is an ideal place to stay and enjoy water sports. Home to Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, it offers fun banana boating, the speedy thrills of wakeboarding, the challenges of fishing and laidback kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding; you can also go diving for marine life encounters and shipwreck exploration.

Souq Waqif

Amongst the oldest souqs in the region, the historical Souq Waqif lets you experience a traditional and lively market. Vendors offer everything from handicrafts and souvenirs to spices, Bedouin weaving, traditional attire, gold, jewellery and more. Not to be missed is its Falcon Souq, while there are plenty of dining options as well.

The Deserts

The Qatari deserts may not seem particularly appealing, but make no mistake, they offer thrilling adventures! Amongst the best things to do in Doha is to go on dune bashing excursions in the desert where you will be taken on an action-packed ride. For more traditional experiences, you can enjoy camel rides and Bedouin-style dining too.
