Planning a trip to the dreamy shores of Mauritius? Before you sink your toes into powder-white sands or book a luxurious stays, make sure your paperwork is as ready as your sunscreen. Here’s a quick guide to help you breeze through the airport and into island bliss.

Valid Passport – No Exceptions
Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your departure date. Whether you’re travelling for leisure or honeymooning in paradise, border control will not budge on this one.

No Visa, No Problem (For Most!)
Citizens of most countries, including the UK, don’t need a visa for tourist stays under 60 days. All you need is a return ticket and proof of accommodation. It’s a visa-free breeze!

Proof of Accommodation & Funds
Border officers may ask for evidence of your stay and proof of funds. A confirmed reservation at Mauritius resorts; perhaps at a scenic hideaway like Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas, and a credit card usually do the trick.

Arrival Card – Complete Before Landing
Before stepping off the plane, you’ll be asked to complete an arrival card. This includes your contact details, length of stay, and accommodation info. Some airlines even provide this during the flight, so keep a pen handy!

Travel Insurance – Strongly Recommended
While not mandatory, travel insurance is highly recommended. Medical care can be expensive, and coverage for trip cancellations or lost luggage could be a lifesaver.
