The interior of the building boast intricate wall carvings, magnificently decorated woodwork, and many other amazing features. Upon the death of Sheik Saeed Al-Maktoum, the house was converted into a museum or sorts, as the many rooms of the house contain antique furniture, a rare collections of photos of Dubai before its rapid and industrial development, coins and historic documents dating back to the 1700’s, and a comprehensive display of the historic pearl diving industry.
