Kinkatu-ji temple also known as The Temple Of The Golden Pavilion represents one of the 17 locations comprising the historic monument of the Ancient Kyoto World Heritage Site. The temple is one of the most popular among the buildings in Japan with a large of number of tourists visiting each other. The temple is located within close proximity to Citadines-Karasuma-Gojo Kyoto which provides the visitor with a host of some of the most luxurious Kyoto apartments to come home to.

The pavilion incorporates three different and unique styles of architecture which are shinden, samurai, and zen which can be witnessed on each floor. Each floor of the Pavilion is designed using a different architectural design. The garden on which the pavilion is built on is simply breathtaking, a truly magnificent strolling garden. The location depicts the idea of borrowed scenery that integrates the outside and the inside, creating an extension of the views surrounding the Pavilion and connecting it with the outside world. The Kinkaku-Ji grounds were built according to descriptions of the western paradise of the Buddha amida, hoping to represent the harmony between heaven and earth. The temple extents over a pond called Kyoto-chi , also known as the ”mirror-pond” which reflects the temple. The pond contains 10 smaller islands, with the largest islet in the pond representing the Japanese islands. Therefore when visiting Kyoto on leisure or on business, do take time to call at the Kinkaku-ji Temple.
